LADINIO roots
The name of our brand “LADINIO” originates from the Greek countryside. The first prefix of our brand name Ladinio, “Λάδι” (Ladi), in the Greek language describes any kind of oil. However, in our everyday lingo when we use the word “Λάδι” (Ladi) we only understand olive oil. The suffix of our brand name Ladinio, “Νιο” (Nio) is a paraphrase of “Νέο” which means New.
So some people in our countryside use the word “Λαδίνιο” (Ladinio) in order to describe the new crops of olive oil.
With modesty and respect to the tradition and to our routs we dare to borrow this little word and we aim to make it a proud brand “synonymous” with the best Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
